We were delighted to welcome a mom, dad, 2 year old, 7 year old and 9 year old and an uncle originally from the Democratic Republic of Congo to Springfield. They’ll be in an Airbnb during a two-week quarantine, but JFS staff will be visiting them and making sure they stay connected and get started during this time. The family received two new Chromebooks upon arrival to communicate with friends, family, providers and start class – the kids will also be getting a “Camp in a Box” and a soccer ball to keep themselves busy and having fun.
