Kavanah: Jewish Youth Leading Change
Registration Now Open for High School Students
Guided by the concept of tikkun olam, a moral obligation to repair the broken world, Kavanah is an interactive program for high school students to learn about advocacy and social action as a Jewish tradition, organize around causes they’re passionate about, and drive change on issues that matter most to them.
Through Kavanah, teens will:
- Plan and lead service projects that create local impact
- Learn about advocacy as a core Jewish tradition
- Meet local and state leaders working on today’s most pressing issues
- Participate in a trip to the Massachusetts State House
- Organize around causes they care about and drive meaningful change
Program Details
- When: Three Sundays between autumn and spring and one weekday during February vacation (final dates chosen with participants input to ensure availability)
- Where: Forest Park neighborhood, including our office at 15 Lenox Street
- Cost: We ask for a one-time $54 donation per family to the JFS program of your choice. Noone will be turned away for inability to pay. Click here to donate.
