Rabbi James Greene's Essay: Ending the Plague of Cruelty

Tuning out until “things go back to normal” is an understandable response following a chaotic year of radical change which included new policies targeting refugees and other lawful immigrants. In his essay for A Faith That Does Justice , Rabbi James Greene, our CEO, offers us this much-needed reminder:
“At other moments of inflection in our nation’s history, good people of faith have been guided by these core values of welcoming, of shared humanity, and of Divine love. We must harness these values once again and call ourselves into action at this moment to push back against the darkness.”

Daily Hampshire Gazette Guest Columnist Rabbi James Greene Our Moral Obligation to Feed the Hungry
Jewish tradition is clear: Feeding the hungry is not optional. It is a mitzvah — a sacred obligation. Call your senators and representatives. Urge them to oppose cuts to SNAP.
Thank you to the Daily Hampshire Gazette for giving our CEO, Rabbi James Greene, the opportunity as guest columnist to advocate against cuts to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and call on politicians of all faith to honor their moral obligation to feed the hungry.
