Thank you to Rachel’s Table for their generous donation to JFS from the Healthy Community Emergency Food Fund* to help fight food-insecurity. This gift allowed us to provide sixty $100 Visa gift cards to refugee evacuee families! In addition, the Rachel’s Table Teen Board raised funds through their Foodraiser event to purchase healthy requested food and items to support our Afghan evacuee resettlement work.
*The Healthy Community Emergency Food Fund was established during the COVID-19 pandemic by the Jewish Federation of Western Massachusetts and Rachel’s Table. JFS facilitated all inquiries, and worked with the Jewish Federation to disperse needed funds.
