In honor of Volunteer Appreciation Month and our wonderful JFS volunteers, we hosted an open house art preview event last Friday in our Welcome Center offices. We invited Laurène Boglio, a local artist who worked with our staff earlier this year, to create murals on our office walls representing “home” for both our staff and clients. The artist spoke about each of the murals, answered questions, and we enjoyed a delicious spread of yummy treats together.
From ESL to Refugee Youth Mentors and more, our volunteers play an integral role in supporting JFS staff and our clients. We are immensely grateful for the many hours they contribute to making a difference in our community and our clients’ lives and futures.
