It is difficult to sum up an entire year’s worth of work in words. In the last year, we were able to start multiple programs that would not have been possible without the participation of our wonderful volunteers. We ran a year long Afghan women’s ESL group, made possible by volunteers who stepped up to watch the children while their mothers attended class. Volunteers assisted with soccer coaching to help our Soccer Camp for Refugee Youth run smoothly. Others completed family reunification applications and were Language Coaches. In addition, many of our volunteers made themselves available to help with transportation needs, in-office support, and were willing to shift their roles to help wherever they were needed!

We are also excited to announce and welcome our new full-time Volunteer Coordinator, Andreia Correia! Andreia will be working full-time in this newly created staff position to help our JFS volunteers make the most of their volunteer time and experience.
