jfs presents "refugee kids" in springfield to celebrate world refugee day

Springfield- Join Jewish Family Service on Monday, June 20 at 5:30pm in the Trinity United Methodist Church Auditorium, 361 Sumner Avenue, Springfield for “Refugee Kids: One Small School Takes on the World” a compelling 2014 documentary that tells the story of refugee children fleeing war and persecution and resettling in America, chronicling their triumphs and setbacks.
The screening will be followed by a Q&A session with film editor and Holyoke State Rep. Aaron Vega. Who are refugees and why do they leave their home countries? What happens when they come to America? How does Jewish Family Service support refugees? How can I help? Join us for an engaging discussion of these topics.
