Jewish Family Service Celebrates 100 Years on October 6

Springfield – On October 6, 2016, we invite you to join us as we celebrate a major milestone for Jewish Family Service- 100 years of solving problems and helping families in Western Massachusetts. For over a century, JFS has addressed the needs of the Jewish community and the community-at-large with responsive services including Jewish life enrichment, elder care support and aging in place, elder guardianship & conservatorship, caregiver support groups, counseling & family therapy, citizenship and naturalization services and refugee resettlement.

Maxine Stein, CEO says, “This celebration is a public acknowledgement of the contributions that this powerful organization has made as a successful model of innovation and responsiveness to our communities.  We often do not have the opportunity to highlight our achievements publicly. We are thrilled to invite and include the community to share this milestone with us.”

The centennial celebration will be held at the beautiful Carriage House at the Barney Estate in Forest Park, Springfield. Our special honorees are Martin and Marian Broder in recognition of their many years of service to JFS, to the Jewish community of Western Mass and to their professional communities. We will also be recognizing our Past Presidents and their contributions. Each one has been an integral part of the history and growth of the organization.

The tickets are $100 and include sumptuous buffet stations, open bar with wine and beer and a festive program.
