Exciting October events for your calendar

Dear Friend,

As we celebrate Sukkot and rejoice in the abundant harvest, let us not forget those who lack safe harbor around the world. Our sukkah, which can be a sheltering canopy of peace, reminds us of our good fortunes and of those who are affected by the impermanence of shelter. 1 in 113 people are displaced on this earth. As we celebrate and acknowledge the fruits of the lands, let us not forget the global refugee crisis. We try to do our part at JFS and we are grateful to all of you for your support, your encouragement and your help. We also hold in our hearts all those in our country and territories that have been affected by the horrific hurricanes, and by the madness of a killer in Las Vegas. We hope that we will know a better world in the near future.
