Can we count on your support today?

Dear Friend,

I'm so pleased to provide you with our latest Impact Report, which will bring you up to date on our many accomplishments during 2015- 2016. We are very proud that over this period we've helped more than 5,000 people in our community lead more fulfilling, productive, safer lives.

With your generous support, we've worked nonstop to do everything we can for people of all ages and backgrounds - from offering housing to newly arrived political refugees from war-torn countries, to protecting vulnerable older adults from abuse or neglect, to teaching young children and teens about the values of Jewish life, and assisting local immigrants obtain citizenship. We also spearheaded a volunteer engagement initiative which has enlisted over 75 new volunteers. Thank you!

Of course, our work is never done. That's why I'm turning to you again, to ask for support of our programs in 2017, and to help us meet the growing needs of our community. We plan to launch a music-and-memory program for older adults; enhance group services for New American adults and children; offer new Jewish Family Life programming in the Upper and Lower Valleys; and expand volunteer opportunities. An important grant from the Community Foundation of Western Massachusetts will enable us to update our internal systems to accommodate more clients. These and other initiatives will reach even greater numbers of people who know that JFS is always here to help them with expert, compassionate, innovative services.

But we can't do it without you. All our work is made possible by your caring support. Will you once again join with JFS in tikkun olam: to build a vibrant, optimistic community, one person at a time?  I promise you that every dollar you contribute will make a difference in the life of someone in need.

We just celebrated our 100th anniversary - and with your support we're ready to go strong for another hundred! Please, be as generous as you can, and give today.

Happy Chanukah. May the light provide us with the strength to make the world a better place.

With my deepest thanks and appreciation,

Maxine J. Stein, MSW
