TAP- In! Participants
You can TAP-In! and receive a weekly phone call from a caring community member.
TAP-In! is a free telephone assurance program for elders. Weekly phone calls from a TAP-In! Telebuddy keep you connected with the community, in touch with resources and a caring voice.
Research shows that community outreach is critical to decrease the loneliness and isolation that our elders may experience if they are living alone, or are without local family support. Weekly good cheer phone calls by trained volunteers will enable elder participants to interact with a caring "telebuddy" and to learn about helpful community resources.
If you would like to receive a call from a community TAP-In! Telebuddy, know someone who would benefit or would like information about becoming a TAP-In! Volunteer, please contact Cathy Chandler, LICSW, Clinical Social Worker.
